Sermon Illustrations: Young Voices
Provide a Fresh Resource

Jesus said to come to him with the simple faith of a child. Used as sermon illustrations, children’s faith-expressions can help adults remember what that is like.

By the time they become teens, most people have established their worldview. In many cases, it is a jaded, skeptical one. The wounds of life have driven them away from an open, trusting connection with the Lord. They may be saved and attend church regularly, but their relationship with Jesus Christ has grown cold and distant.

I know pastors want to preach messages that counteract this by drawing people closer to the Lord. The right sermon illustrations can truly add life and light to your words. They make your message more memorable and your audience more attentive.

Children's Quotes on Video

Precious or humorous quotes from children are a sure way to raise the attention level. Kids can be great sermon resources!

In the Kids Talk About God Online Kid TV Interviews, children answer questions about God, life and the Bible. Humor, insight and passion characterize their answers. Each 30 seconds in length, these spots can be and have been used effectively in church services. These kids are so full of faith, one church used several of the spots to provide a stark contrast for a sermon series on doubt.

"The service we used the spots in was INCREDIBLE!!!! Everyone raved and we still -- weeks and weeks later -- get comments about it." - Melody Gill, Marietta, GA

All 60 of these Kid TV Interviews may be viewed in their entirety online. They are indexed according to the question that is answered by the featured children. Online viewing is free. No registration is required. For use in churches and schools, these spots can be viewed in fullscreen format and projected onto a screen. It's still free.

Kids' Quotes & Art

The online Kids Color Me Bible contains a rich sermon resource of children’s quotes related to Bible stories. The chapters are indexed by scripture, with a title telling which Bible story that chapter is about. This clickable index is on the first page.

Once you click on a chapter, the first thing you’ll see is the artwork done by a child to illustrate this Bible story. If you go past this and the Bible story text, you’ll find the kids’ quotes. They are all kids’ answers to a question related to a Bible story.

Click here to visit the Kids Color Me Bible. It is free. No registration required.

Bookmark these winsome sermon resources. Add them to your arsenal of sermon illustrations. I pray that they will bless you and your church greatly.
