Mission Explorers Evangelism Training

Do you know when most American missionaries heard God’s call to the mission field?

According to a study by Dr. Morris through the U.S. Center for World Missions, 85 percent heard God’s call to a life of service on the mission field before the age of 13.

Research shows that 85 percent of Christians trust the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior before the age of 14. What better way to spread the good news than by training children to share the message of life?

Let Carey Kinsolving, the director/producer of the Mission Explorers Video Series, take your kids on a global mission journey around the globe while showing them how to share the gospel with friends in their neighborhood and school. It’s Act 1:8 in a capsule: “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."

Your kids will learn how to:

  • Start a conversation that generates interest in the gospel.
  • Learn at least 8 fun ways to share the gospel.
  • Use their hands to illustrate the gospel.
  • Ask for a decision to trust the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior.

In Mission Explorers Evangelism Training children learn the Acts 1:8 strategy of starting at home and spreading the gospel to the uttermost parts of the world. Children who experience the excitement of leading friends and relatives to Christ are the most likely candidates to become the next generation of foreign missionaries.

This training is open to children from ages 8-12. When accompanied by an adult, children ages 6-7 may also attend.

Imagine how incredible it would be if, instead of reading about missions and the courageous people who share the gospel in foreign countries, you could actually take your students on an amazing video journey spanning four continents to visit these far-away places! There, they would experience what it would be like to live among the Fiji islanders or to visit a remote village in the heart of Africa.

This series is designed to show missions through the eyes and experience of the winner of the Children’s Bible Contest, 11-year-old Hillary Welborn. Kinsolving produced, directed and appeared in this pioneering series in which more than 100 hours of video were shot on a global mission trip. Kinsolving has designed the workshop to interact with children about specific lessons taught in the video segments.

Some of the non-denominational mission organizations featured in the series include Ambassadors for Christ International, Awana Clubs International, Every Child Ministries, Far East Broadcasting Company, Food for the Hungry, Operation Mobilization, Pioneers, SIM International, TEAM, Torchbearers and Trans World Radio.

This mission workshop is designed to promote children’s concern for people beyond the boundaries of their own neighborhoods. Review the Mission Explorers Video Series on this website: www.KidsTalkAboutGod.org/Mission.
