About Us
Kids Talk About God (KTAG) started with an idea and a vision. The idea is that children have a way of touching our hearts and reminding us that we must come to God with childlike faith. The vision is to capture their faith expressions and make them available to all through an online portfolio.
Mission
Our mission is to create forums for kids to share their faith. We make these inspirational expressions of faith available online without charge to children and families. This is possible through partnerships with businesses and professionals. We offer our online portfolio on the reverse side of business cards (click here), which contain a website address to a sponsored web page (click here for sample) where our content is offered courtesy of sponsoring businesses and professionals.
History
Kids Talk About God started when journalist Carey Kinsolving launched a worldwide contest to find a child to feature in a global mission trip. The Mission Explorers Video Series has been distributed by Word Ministry Resources as video curriculum to more than 2,500 churches. This popular series is now streaming as part of the Kids Talk About God Online Portfolio, which is featured on every custom webpage created for KTAG clients.
After producing Mission Explorers, Kinsolving set his sights on writing the Kids Talk About God newspaper column, which has been in syndication for more than 5 years (visit Lifestyle Features at www.Creators.com). These winsome columns are now being distributed by complimentary e-mail subscription (click here to subscribe) as family Bible lessons on every custom webpage created for KTAG clients. The Kids Talk About God gift book, which features children’s quotes from Kinsolving’s columns, has been published by J. Countryman and Hallmark.
Art from the gift book as well as art gathered for the Kids Color Me Bible is now featured in the Kids Talk About God Online Art Gallery. More than 70 pieces are featured in the order of the Scriptures they illustrate. Children may view them or upload them for printout to use as memory cards or to decorate their rooms. All printouts feature high-resolution PDF files in 3.5” X 5” and 4” X 6” formats.
The most entertaining part of the KTAG Online Portfolio is the Kid TV Interviews. In the spirit of Art Linkletter’s Kids Say the Darndest Things, Kinsolving interviewed hundreds of children. Their responses to Bible- and God-related questions ran for 20 consecutive months on ABC affiliate KRGV-TV. Credentials
Carey Kinsolving is an experienced public speaker, syndicated newspaper columnist, author and producer. Many of Kinsolving's feature articles have appeared in The Washington Post and other major newspapers via news services such as The New York Times News Service, Cox, Hearst and Donrey. His subjects have ranged from profiles of well-known figures such as Elizabeth Dole, Tom Landry, Jimmy Carter and George Gallup Jr. to journey-of-faith stories of everyday Americans.
Kinsolving holds master's degrees from the University of Missouri School of Journalism and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. A native of McAllen, Texas, he currently lives in South Padre Island, Texas with his wife Lisa.
