Operation Mobilization Featured
in Video Series & Curriculum

Now Operation Mobilization can be seen online in a global mission adventure series for kids. The Mission Explorers Video Series is now streaming at www.KidsTalkAboutGod.org. It has been used in thousands of churches to introduce children to the work of missionaries.

“This 13-lesson series is perfect for Sunday School, Vacation Bible School or missions week,” says Carey Kinsolving, the producer and director of the series. “We feature Operation Mobilization’s Doulos Ship crew as it docked in Calcutta, India.”

This series is designed to show missions through the eyes and experience of 11-year-old Hillary Welborn, the winner of the Children’s Bible Contest. More than 100 hours of video were shot on locations around the globe to produce this pioneering series.

“Instead of hearing about the work of missionaries, children experience real mission work through one of their peers,” says Kinsolving. “It’s the next best thing to actually going on a global mission trip yourself.”

In the video series, Hillary greets visitors as they board the floating Doulos bookstore. She learns about the effectiveness of Operation Mobilization’s book and literature evangelism on the ship and on the streets of Calcutta. She hands out flyers with an OM team to invite Indians to visit the Doulos bookstore. A missionary kid who lives on the Doulos takes Hillary on a ship tour and shows her all his favorite hiding places. Hillary introduces some of the people from more than 20 nations who work together in taking the gospel to people in port cities around the world.

The 13-lesson series is free to watch online. Operation Mobilization ministry leaders and missionaries may want to show the video series when visiting churches to raise awareness or support for various Operation Mobilization projects. The Mission Explorers Video Series on DVD comes with a downloadable curriculum. A sample lesson may be requested online at no charge. The price for the DVD and 13-lesson curriculum is $95 plus $4.50 shipping.
